Booked to share stages with artists such as Cappadonna, People Under The Stairs, Brother Ali, Illa Jay, Blueprint, Canibus, Kingspade, Everlast, Flobots, Critical Bill, Prince Po, Twiztid & a large array of other artists with various sounds; Scenic Route is an eclectic blend of Prhymal Rage founding members HellahMentals, Doc Remedy and their very own DJ Offbeatz. These two leading producers, also dual tasking as emcees, mash up and collide with front man turntablist DJ Offbeatz forming a grassroots apporoach to production work, with the theory that; anything you hear, is customizeable to the fullest extent. Scenic Route claims to be "producers in a vast ocean of just beatmakers". They dropped their debut album as a collective September 22, 2008 on the Fall Equinox and took everyone, including Prhymal Rage team members by complete surprise. Marketing the event as a huge live graffiti showcase, halfway through the night Scenic Route unsheathed a merch booth with albums and shirts, broke out a digital camera, and interviewed local artists in attendance. The artists featured on the album were even clueless that Scenic Route had been working on an album, let alone the fact that it was finished, and contained them on it!! Scenic Route has since then set aims to possibly collaborate with artists and drop new material on a regular basis. Claiming to have found a way to promote and market their albums more efficiently, Scenic Route, as the name suggests, devises themselves the challenge of dropping new material the first day of Fall and the first day of Spring yearly. This eliminates the need to inform listeners when the next album drops, and lets them focus on the more important detail, the albums themselves.
